Overview of the functions of the OPTI-TEMP module
- Two voltage-free contacts increase the number of devices controlled by the OPTI-ENER system – from four to six devices
- Additional possibility of manually switching on two connected devices (buttons on the module panel)
- Smoothly adjust the power of the electric immersion heater (up to 2 kW) in the water storage heater for the use of surplus electricity generated by the photovoltaic system to heat water with electricity
- Possible measurement of three temperatures when connecting additional temperature sensors
Application of the OPTI-TEMP module in the OPTI-ENER system
The OPTI-TEMP module is connected to the OPTI-ENER central unit via a communication cable or wirelessly via the G931 radio module, e.g., at a greater distance between the place of installation of the OPTI-ENER unit and the OPTI-TEMP module, which is usually installed close to the electric immersion heater built into the water storage heater.
Management of surplus energy generated by the photovoltaic system
The use of the OPTI-TEMP module is mainly used to manage surplus electricity generated by the photovoltaic system, if the standard operation control of four devices from the OPTI-ENER unit is insufficient. The excess electricity generated can be consumed by switching on two additional electrical devices and smoothly adjusting the power of the electric immersion heater in the water storage heater (current water heating).
