PCWB heat pumps are used for seasonal water heating, both in private and public swimming pools. The use of a heat pump allows you to extend the life of the outdoor swimming pool up to 5-6 months a year, ensuring the required water temperature at low operating costs. The PCWB heat pump can be used for any type of swimming pool, both with a solid structure and metal frame or inflatable swimming pool.
The high energy performance (COP) of the heat pump allows up to 6 kW of heating capacity to be obtained from 1 kW of supplied electrical power. Next to solar collectors, it is the most economical way to heat water in swimming pools
The installation of the PCWB heat pump is relatively easy and quick. The internal system is completely hermetic and does not require any intervention during installation work. They are run outside the building, usually at the pool itself. The controller itself does not need any complicated configuration. To connect the swimming pool water circuit, it will be most advantageous to use a ready-made bypass. It consists of pipework and 3 valves to isolate and regulate the water flow through the heat pump. The device can also be quickly disassembled and stored in a closed room for the winter period.
In the existing installation, the PCWB heat pump is connected between the filter (4) and the possible water treatment device (2). The system should be expanded with two tees on three sockets (7) and a valve regulating the flow between them (5). This is how the so-called bypass – swimming pool water bypass. Only part of the pool water (usually 20-50%) flows through the heat pump, which allows to increase the temperature difference between the heat pump supply and outlet, and to leave the existing filter pump without the need to change to a pump with a different (lower) capacity (4). The pool water bypass allows you to additionally disconnect the heat pump from the water circuit when cleaning the filter or during maintenance and service work on the heat pump itself.

A dedicated application allows you to conveniently change and control the heat pump settings via your smartphone. For example, the application allows for the setting of the expected water temperature or the operating hours of the heat pump.
