What does the 2.5 kW PCWU 200/300eK heat pump offer?
The PCWU 200/300eK heat pump with a heating output of 2.5 kW is offered with a 200 or 300 litre tank. Thanks to its design, it is a self-contained unit that heats domestic hot water directly. The built-in coil heat exchanger additionally allows it to fulfil the function of a storage tank cooperating with the heating boiler. Economical operation is possible up to an outside temperature of approx. -7°C. In addition, in summer the cooled air can be used for free room cooling (as an additional effect during normal operation).
High performance with minimal energy consumption
By storing hot water in a storage tank, it is possible to provide the desired level of comfort for the occupants of the house, while the electrical output of the appliance can be reduced to a minimum. Due to its operating principle, the PCWU 200/300eK-2.5 kW heat pump nominally consumes only 820 W of electricity. This keeps the daily cost of heating 300 litres of water to 45°C to a minimum.
Highest efficiency class A+ in its segment
Using primarily renewable energy, the PCWU 200/300eK-2.5 kW heat pump provides extremely low costs for heating domestic hot water. This is further due to the highest energy efficiency class A+ given to heat pumps for water heating. There is also the benefit of being able to obtain the highest levels of subsidies, which are usually dependent on the efficiency of the equipment.
Convenient to install, also when upgrading
The compact design of the PCWU 200/300eK-2.5 kW heat pump, supplied complete with water tank, reduces installation time to a minimum. Low power consumption does not force the use of separate safety devices and the unit simply needs to be plugged into an electrical socket. The heat pump is used in both new buildings and upgrades where, for example, a traditional energy-intensive electric boiler or a standard hot water storage tank working with a heating boiler are being replaced. A controller with extensive functions allows cooperation with the boiler.
Advanced G426 controller with a wide range of functions
The G426 controller allows the selection of the hydraulic scheme of an installation equipped with a gas or solid-fuel boiler. The controller’s functions allow it to work with the boiler to optimise the cost of heating domestic water. The text screen adds to the convenience when using an extended range of settings and operating status readings. Timing functions make it possible to adapt the operation of the heat pump, as well as the domestic water circulation pump, to the needs of the residents. The RS485 communication interface is used for online cooperation with the EKONTROL remote operation monitoring system.
DURABLE AND HYGIENIC ENAMEL COATING
To ensure the durability of the appliance and the hygiene of the water, an increased thickness of up to 3 mm was used for the steel tank covered with a layer of ceramic enamel. Additional protection is provided by a magnesium anode.
4-ROW EVAPORATOR FOR EFFICIENT HEAT RECOVERY
Efficient heat extraction from the air is ensured by the special design of the densely finned 4-row evaporator. It allows stable and economical operation, even down to air temperature of -7°C.
QUIET AND DURABLE ROTARY COMPRESSOR
The rotary compressor with its proven technology is characterised by its uncomplicated design and therefore reliability. Low electrical power consumption makes it possible to achieve the highest efficiency class A+.
BUILT-IN COIL HEAT EXCHANGER FOR COOPERATION WITH THE BOILER
An increased surface area coil heat exchanger built into the hot water storage tank enables a heating boiler to be conveniently connected and thus replace a standard storage heater in the boiler room.
ELECTRIC IMMERSION HEATER – COMFORT AND SAFETY
The 1.5 kW electric immersion heater built into the hot water storage tank serves to increase the heating capacity in the event of increased hot water needs, and also acts as an emergency heat source.
OPTION OF COOLIN INDOORS
Air connections allow you to connect air ducts to draw air from outside the building, as well as to supply cooled air to rooms.

In order to provide the residents with the expected amount of hot water, it is necessary to choose a heat pump with an appropriate hot water storage tank capacity. The level of comfort depends also on the time it takes to heat up the stored water, determined by the heating capacity of the heat pump. For example, 300 litres of water at a temperature of 10 degrees C with a power output of 1.8 kW, will be heated up after about 6 hours, With a power output of 2.5 kW, this time is reduced to about 4 hours. During the times of peak hot water demand, an electric immersion heater or a boiler can be used to improve the heating capacity.
The 1.8 kW PCWU heat pumps feature the HW100 controller, which is characterised by its functionality and ease of operation. The 2.5 kW PCWU heat pumps, on the other hand, have a G426 controller. They are already characterised by an extended range of functions, including cooperation with the boiler and the possibility of remote operation and monitoring.
